Members that wish to improve their golf swings, shots, and score can enlist the aid of our Professional Staff: Head Golf Professional-Jim Julsrud, and Assistant Professional-Mike Greer. Both men are very experienced instructors with great reputations for helping all players: novice/beginner; mid-level players; as well as scratch amateurs and aspiring tournament players – from youth/junior players to senior players.
Lessons can be arranged by calling the golf shop (715-836-8423). Lessons are typically given in half (up to full) hour increments; rates range from $30.00 to $75.00, depending on the length of the lesson and the instructor.
The staff also will conduct a junior series of lessons that meets throughout the summer. In this series, the young players are given instruction in basic rules and etiquette; care for the golf course; and all facets of the game – short game, iron play, and wood play. In addition to the junior group instruction, a women’s “Boot Camp” of instruction is offered – primarily geared to beginners. There is a series of four lessons that meet on Tuesday early evenings on set dates. If you are just starting to play, or just have an interest to see what is the attraction for this game is – this may be a good place to start.
